Young Adult Recovery Destinations (YARD)

Established in 2009, The YARD Project is a collaboration among the Gavin Foundation, the Institute for Health and Recovery, and the Massachusetts Organization for Addiction and Recovery.  It is funded by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, to serve young adults, ages 18–24, in recovery from substance use. Located in South Boston, YARD offers a variety of services and activities to assist young adults at all stages of treatment and recovery. YARD works to create a safe and empowering community that can also include young adults not necessarily in recovery, but who seek sober peer groups and activities.
